P/PD SIG Diversity Travel Award
The ABCT P/PD SIG offers a diversity travel award to defray some of the significant travel costs associated with the conference. Applicants do not need to be a current ABCT member, P/PD SIG member, or presenter. This is a donation based-award and the amount of funding depends on donations from our membership. If you are interested in donating for 2024, please contact Shannon Sauer-Zavala at ssz@uky.edu.
To be eligible for this award, applicants must:

Be in training (e.g., undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, post-masters, or graduate students

Identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color (BIPOC), Disabled, LGBTQIA+, and/or have lived experience of a personality disorder

Be involved in or pursuing research/practice related to Personality/Personality Disorders

Indicate financial need
Submission: Submission is closed for 2023. We anticipate opening the submissions for 2024 in August/Sept 2024.
Recipients must attend the ABCT 2023 conference and P/PD SIG expo. The funds must be used to attend the ABCT convention. If you do not attend the convention, you may be asked to repay the funds awarded to you. Recipients will be asked to provide proof of attendance.
